Washington DC — Yesterday’s event launching the joint Center for Global Development (CGD) – University of Chicago Market Shaping Accelerator (MSA) initiative on market shaping culminated in the announcement of $600,000 in prizes for three market shaping proposals:
- $290,000 for a prize to develop and stockpile broad-spectrum antivirals to SPRIND [policy memo, pitch (video)]
- $155,000 for an AMC to accelerate diagnostics for neonatal sepsis to Dr. Akhil Bansal [policy memo, pitch (video)]
- $155,000 for pull mechanisms to repurposing generic drugs for common and neglected diseases to Duke Margolis Institute for Health Policy [common diseases policy memo, NTDs policy memo, and watch the pitch (video)]
